CLUB PROJECTS, RENOVATIONS, AND ADDITIONS
Without members volunteering their time, effort and skills, to all of the events and programs the Great Lakes Sports and Recreation Club is capable of hosting, our club would not be the success it is, both in terms of what we offer our members and what we provide the community. However, many of our members also spend much of their time maintaining the ranges, grounds, and club house. Because we have such a hardworking group of members who are willing to go the extra mile to continue growing and improving the Club in all aspects, in 2014 we completed a massive undertaking. Building a large addition, so that we now have two indoor ranges, one for firearms and the other for archery. We also upgraded and updated our kitchen allowing for more opportunities for dinners, fundraisers, benefits and other social events. During this project we also made the club more accessible to people with disabilities by adding ADA bathrooms, barrier free entrances to both indoor ranges, and the construction of shooting stations in the pistol range, 2 of which are wide enough to accommodate wheelchair users.
